Cecilia G. AMARO


Originally from Guadalajara, Jalisco, as a child she moved with her family to Monterrey, Nuevo León, and studied interior design at the Higher Institute of Arts and Culture.

The first individual exhibition that the plastic artist, author and singer, mounted was in 1986 in the Disarte Gallery, under the title Canto sobre papel. He has exhibited in various cultural venues in Baja California, Mexico, Southern California, United States, and in Havana, Cuba.

Collections: Síntesis TV, Tijuana; Contemporary University Museum of Art of Mexico City; Museo Amparo de Puebla; La Caja Gallery, Tijuana; The Art Center- Norfolk, Virginia; Mexican Consulate in Los Angeles and the Mexican Consulate in San Diego.

In 2007 during the Harvest Festival, his work was exhibited in the three wine houses present in Baja California, and since March of 2008 his work Exhalaciones is present in the Museum of Abstract Art Manuel Felguérez in Zacatecas, within the framework of the Festival Cultural Zacatecas 2008. In 2008, I give this city the Mural "Musical Notes".
