José SACAL


José Sacal was born in the city of Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, in 1944.
Studies. 1965-69 Goes to the National Institute of Fine Arts in Cuernavaca, Morelos Mexico. 1969-72 Attends the Institute of Arts "La Esmeralda" Distrito Federal, Mexico. 1979-82 Go to the Old Mill of Sto. Domingo (INBA) Federal District, Mexico. 1983-85 Goes to the Workshop of Enrique Altamirano, Federal District, Mexico.

Awards. Selection. Award, International Biennial of Florence, Italy in 1998; Honorable Mention, Fine Arts Center, Sacramento, California, United States, 2000; Honorable Mention at the International Biennial, Toyamura, Japan, 2002; Mexico-Israel Cultural Institute, Art, Science and Culture Award in Mexico, 2006.
